Joey is an australian indigenous word for baby animal, so baby joey is a bit superfluous when describing a baby animal, unless its about the cuteness factor like that simpsons episode where lisa becomes a vegetarian, anyway… When I designed the Joey pouch, I decided to create a smaller one… the baby joey, and that lead to the idea of what would you put into it, and since the Joey contains a notebook with a map of a city, and is based on music, I thought what better than a mixtape of 22 tracks from the period 1975 to 1984 hand recorded from 45r.p.m vinyl onto a cassette tape for that authentic audio of the time of the recording. So the first one is set in London between the years 1977 and 1981, picture if you will a young Vivian Westwood and a younger Malcolm McLaren having been in their SEX shop a few years trying to put that grain of sand to agitate the pearlers that youth are possible of by dressing people interestingly and getting them to play loud music.
